Our standup and lie-down units deliver the same results, but with some differences that provide you with interesting options. Try them both, then choose your favorite, or mix it up!

stand up units
• The 8 minute exposure time our standups require is shorter than a lie down because more power gets
to each bulb and produces a more intense UV.
• Standups have a more energetic atmosphere than a lie down. Many people dance while they are tanning!
• The top of the line speakers in the unit provide you with excellent sound quality, and eliminate the necessity for headphones, allowing your ears to tan.
• Since your body doesn't touch the acrylic, you will sweat less as the breeze cools your entire body.
This is handy if you are on your way to work or on a lunch break.
• You will receive a balanced tan in the standup - the bulbs are equidistant from your body, it's easy to
tan under the arms and you won't get the pressure points that can sometimes develop from lying on acrylic.
• People tell us they feel less claustrophobic in our standups because standing is not as vulnerable a position as lying down.
• Our Standups use all VHR Low Pressure Technology.
• Please use the provided goggles with the elastic strap, moving the strap 2-3 times during your session
to avoid tan lines. Alternatively, you can try Winkies, which have a light adhesive to stick to your eyelids.

lie down units
• Our 10 minute lie-downs take slightly longer than the standups, giving you a little more time to relax
and enjoy.
• The headphones provided will give you fabulous sound quality.
• Separate fans for body and face are adjustable, allowing you to keep exactly as cool as you want.
• Adjustable facial bulbs cater to the special needs of the hard to tan facial skin with
VHP Facial Tanning Technology.
