Specially designed for the controlled environment of indoor tanning, indoor tanning lotions are very different from outdoor lotions. For one thing they contain no SPF, as our tanning equipment, pre-filters the UV to be significantly less intense than true sunshine. Indoor lotions should not be used outdoors without additional use of an SPF product. Likewise, outdoor lotions should not be used indoors as they will prevent you from tanning in our equipment, and they often contain oils that are harmful to our acrylic. There are five major ingredient categories found in our lotions:

moisturizer
The base of our lotions is a luxurious moisturizer, the first step in preparing your skin to accept a tan. Moist skin tans faster and easier, and is defended against the dehydrating effects of UV exposure, which can contribute to premature aging.

accelerator
"Accelerator", found in all our indoor lotions, is a compilation of amino acids and minerals that the body uses to create a tan. When applied directly to the skin, melocites can easily draw upon these ingredients to assist in the tanning process, thereby increasing the speed and efficiency of the body's natural ability to tan.

amplifier
Amplifying, photosensitizing oils assist the melocites in accepting UV, intensifying the amount of UV you can absorb in a short period of time. Once you establish a base tan, you may find that since it protects against UV, it can lead to a plateau. These ingredients can greatly improve UV penetration and help you boost your tan to the next level.

skin stimulant
Otherwise known as tingle products, skin stimulants dilate the capillaries and bring blood to the surface of the skin - like a blush. Having an ample supply of blood's nutrients nearby helps the melanocytes, to do their job more efficiently, increasing both the speed and the darkness of your tan.

replenisher
Antioxidants and Aloe Vera Gel are found in all our products. These ingredients help the skin replenish itself and prepare for the next exposure to UV.
